Hi, I'm Natty! I'm a photographer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana but I love to travel to wherever you want to go.
Hey there party people!!!
I just loved shooting this wedding for so many reasons!! Mainly the couple was just delightful!! They had the sweetest story as well– falling for each other at their last job at Fresh Market. Also a favorite of mine <3
So Mark and Brittany found my wedding photography information on the Knot and we met for some good old coffee at the local Magpie and it was history after that! Their wedding was set for this summer and they had plenty of time to plan plan plan…. We also got so much good stuff for their Engagement Session at LSU and Brittany’s Bridal Session at Rural Life Museum.
They were super flexible and easy to work with. They also made my day by doing First Look so they could get straight to the party happening at Ruffino’s downtown. First look was gorgeous at Most Blessed Sacrament. The church’s structure and architecture is divine for the creative in me that loves symmetry.
Also, I adored the wedding’s bridesmaids dresses that Brittany chose. She went with a Sage color and all the dresses were long and lovely making all the girls look their best! I so love when everyone is cozy in their dresses- it makes such a difference. Wedding Day is so much better in comfort!
The guys were looking dapper in their custom suits and what I loved even more is that the priest jested about navy and brown never being done before on suits and shoes. I was kind of dumfounded since I pair navy and brown quite often 🙂
After the gorgeous church ceremony everyone headed downtown to Ruffino’s De La Rhonde Hall to get the party started. In the bride and groom’s suite there was over 100 year old whiskey from the bride’s grandmother’s own wedding so it was only right to toast to such an occasion!! All the family gathered around and cheers the new couple’s beginning! It was beautiful and such a special touch to a beautiful wedding day!
Then came the PARTY!!!!!
The wedding party that is!
There was toasting, cake smashing, eating and lots of hand passed hors d’oeuvres and of course the heels came off by the end of the night! I was a tiny bit embarrassed at how many times I stopped the kid with the artichoke and parmesan tray. A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do though– I am growing a human anyways, right?!
But one of the things I adored about this group was their dance moves!! No one at the wedding was not not moving!!! And that is so much fun to document!! The “how low can you go” is always always my favorite– unless people are whipping and nanning. Aside from the fact that I adore music and love getting to hear a plethora of tunes from Motown to Country to the Wobble– it’s awesome to have everybody in one spot enjoying themselves!!
And just FYI— every wedding in all the land should end with a good sparkler session!! At least they make for beautiful exit shots!!
And they lived happily ever after… of course!
Thank you so much for letting me be the one to document y’alls very very special life events- engagement photos, bridals and your very dear Wedding Day!!!
