Hi, I'm Natty! I'm a photographer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana but I love to travel to wherever you want to go.
I love utilizing downtown Baton Rouge for Engagement sessions. There are so many little nooks and crannies that I feel get passed by all too quickly! This particular session was such a pleasure for me. This darling duo is a friend of mine’s son, Kyle and his bride to be, Emma. First of all, let’s just take a moment and adore the name “Emma”. I just love it! You never hear it these days and she fit it perfectly- unique, beautiful, and strong.
Kyle and Emma are smitten for one another and it’s SO REFRESHING. Ever see those couples at tables just eating food and not talking? Ever see two people in the same place but so far from one another? Maybe, say, divided by their cellphones or a blaring tv? Well, these two would definitely not be that couple. They were so darling in love it was inspiring to see.
Emma also helps clean his teeth which is actually really true love.
Another little tidbit about these two is they love terribly to goof off. Like basically taking serious pictures was painful for them two so we had to do our best at just capturing their spontaneity and fun-loving personalities.
We still got the best of both worlds.
Kyle proposed on the steps of the Capitol around 8-something at night so needless to say he did not get any great images of it. We took some time to recreate some of their precious and memorable moments by walking over there and capturing the two of them being them .
Their kind of love is the stuff wedding photographers love!!! They made the whole session one big blast and nothing like a photoshoot.
Did anyone else know that they redid the front of the Capitol? If not, it’s just gorgeous! I love all the new, multi-colored tiles. Emma is from good ole Loooziana and Kyle is a California guy so it was only right that we captured them on their home state step!
Bless them so! Poor Kyle’s grey shirt was black by the end of our summer eve shoot! They were both champs though and we made some pretty moments that they can hold onto forever!!
And they lived Happily Ever After…
